Without knowing other expenses of a stock in particular, when looking at the statistics page, other than leveraged cash on hand, debt, etc. how can I determine what a particular company really has?
How do you determine how much cash on hand a company has from its statistics page?
I would think that you can find that by looking at the financial statments. Either the balances sheet, which must have a cash/cash equivlent line item under current assets, and the statment of cash flows, that document the use and balance of cash during the reproting period.
That being said, the definition of "cash" differs depending on what you are looking for. For example, If you are projecting the ability of a company to service it's dets, then one can argue that untaped sources of liquitidy, as a lines of cerdit, satisfies as "cash".
Reply:look at the current ratio of the stock. if it is less than 1, the company is in trouble
Reply:What does anyone really know ??? Company information that enables someone to make profitable stock investments comes in many forms. I find the best sources come from inside trading.
