Would my funds be available sooner if I deposit them in check form or in cash?

This is at Wells Fargo. If I deposit my check, it should be available one business day later. Would cashing the check them depositing the cash be faster? If I want to cash the check, but it is from a different bank, can I cash it at WF or do I need to cash it at the other bank?

Would my funds be available sooner if I deposit them in check form or in cash?
i answered to another of your questions like this but i said it wrong at the end....

After you collect the cash from WaMu you'll take it to the bank and deposit the cash.

I always do this so i have the money available to me in my bank account the same day. otherwise they usually hold the money until it clears from WaMu and that can take a few days...

I highly suggest you just take it WaMu and do as i said in the other messae... they will need 2 forms of ID (one must be a photo ID) they will take your thumb print and give you the reciept to get the cash at their store....

WaMu has a difficult task to get money... :) Not really just different. But i read that some people say they charge fees and all that.... THEY DON'T!!!!!!! I do not have an account at WaMu and cash checks ALL THE TIME. I did it today infact! :D
Reply:Go and cash it at the originating bank and deposit cash into your account...it shows as collected funds, a check has to clear before it shows collected...definitely cash...HH
Reply:cash is not immediate credit to all banks some are slow and dodnt process it like cash or they have dumb policies. check your bank for thst info just to make sure
Reply:cash is immediate credit
