Is it possible to cash a check if a drivers license or ID is not valid anymore - outdated?

My sister in law wants to start working from home, but her drivers license is outdated and she can't get a new one right now. Are there places that can cash her check either way? She has tried at WalMart before and they gave her a hard time. A bank wont let her enroll because of her outdated license.

POSITIVE help only. Unwanted hating responses will be reported. Thanks.

It's entirely up to the business. They can accept an expired license or not as they choose.

As was pointed out, she can also go to the DMV and get a non-drivers State ID card - they typically cost just a few bucks.

Reply:Where I live, the Province issues Age of Majority Photo ID Cards for a very small fee (like 16$ photo included). Try googling your state and Age of Majority cards or something.

She doesn't have a passport either, I assume. Plenty of places will take that and a current utility bill as ID Verification.

Many people do that when they lose their license
