Is it easy to pick up cash in hand work in Hawaii?

We are planning a trip to Hawaii for a couple of months over the summer. We plan to get some WWOOF placements, but as well we would like to travel round the islands by bike to see the sights. How easy is it to pick up work along the way, like ad-hoc jobs helping people out, cash in hand?

i don't think it's easy. most of the cash in hand jobs will be given to locals or people the employer already know. a lot of the jobs are based on the "who you know" situation. they wont admit it but it's true. im sure you can find some kind of cash job on craigslist or in the classifieds. they might not be available as much as you would like but theres bound to be something! good luck and happy travels! aloha!
Reply:There is a fair amount of cash under the table work done, but it would be kind of tough if you don't have any contacts. You won't have an address, a local phone number, no references. I think you would have a tough go of it.
Reply:Yea I knew some Aussies, Israelis, Brazillans, Canadians that did that. Jus ask around. Maybe you can be a greeter for a timeshare booth, hand out flyers, do club promotions, sell tickets. It can be done.
Reply:not easy at all
